Can I use my benefits/insurance?
If you are an Ontario resident, you can use insurance for my Nutrition Coaching services. It is up to you to consult with your insurance provider to determine whether or not you have coverage for Registered Dietitian services. I will provide you with a detailed receipt to use for reimbursement.
How many months will I need to reach my goals?
The number of months will depend uniquely on you and your goals. Some clients need 2 months and some clients work with me for years depending on their goals and how much accountability they require. Research shows that change occurs on an average of 66 days - sometimes more, sometimes less. Because of this, I recommend planning to commit to at least 2-3 months of support for habits to change into a routine.
You have complete control over how many months of support you would like.
How do I know how many calories to eat?
Your customized balanced nutrition assessment will provide you with calorie and macronutrient targets for your body and goals. However, I preach nutrition awareness, not obsession. We won't be tallying up calories and macros (unless you specifically want to). My desire for every client is that through my coaching you'll create eating habits that are balanced, enjoyable and feel easy - without measuring, counting or tracking your food!
How much weight can I expect to lose?
This program is not solely focused on weight loss, but if weight loss is a goal of yours, I recommend gradual weight loss averaging ~0.5-2lb per week (depending on the person). In my coaching, I encourage you to take the focus off of the scale and numbers and put more focus on changing and improving your habits. I have found as my clients make these habit changes, their weight changes too.
Do you have a refund policy?
No, I do not offer any refunds. If something comes up that interferes with the timing of your program, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Do I have to cut out any foods?
No! I'm going to teach you a variety of balanced eating techniques and strategies so you know how all foods can fit into your diet while still reaching your healthy living or weight loss goals. You've already tried the restrictive diets and now you're here - I'm so proud of you for that! Now it's time to find a way of eating that is nourishing and enjoyable but also realistic to maintain long-term.
Can I do this program if I'm gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan or have food allergies?
Absolutely! Every program is unique and tailored to your needs.
Which nutrition coaching service is the best fit for me?
The answer depends on the level of support you are looking for.
The Transformation VIP Nutrition Coaching package offers a very high level of support. I am working with you daily on helping you meet your nutrition needs, finding your balance, healing your food relationship, and changing your habits. I review your food journal daily and communicate with you frequently via your food journal, text message, voice message, check-in forms, and face-to-face sessions - based on your needs, schedule and preferences! This program is beneficial to someone who is trying to change their lifestyle, trying to lose weight, or for someone who wants/needs accountability to make some lasting changes.
The Strategy Session is a one time, face-to-face session where I will provide you with the education, suggestions and written resources you need for your health journey. You will take that information and implement it on your own. After your initial session, you have the option to book follow-up sessions for more support.
